Hands-on training and a place to just be a student
As Madera College’s manufacturing and technology programs include more hands-on training, they need additional facilities to house the specialized classes. This new building sits wedged between the center for advanced manufacturing and the central plant (which was complicated, but we helped site it perfectly to give the client the most cost-effective location) and houses a welding shop, machine shop, agriculture shop, and soils lab. While we knew they needed the shop space, we also heard that students have no place to gather, relax, study, or eat on campus. We took care of that. A shaded outdoor eating area gives student life on campus new… well, life.
