Solving a need for today, offering flexibility for tomorrow

Built in the early 2000s, US Cancer Management Corporation’s Fresno Cancer Center needed more office and exam space for the new Central Valley Breast Care (CVBC). Working out from the existing structure, TETER designed a new space that added two offices and four exam rooms, and left a large unoccupied shell for the future Medical Oncology and Infusion Center. To maximize flexibility in that space we stubbed in plumbing, gas, and electric, and made accommodations on the roof for future HVAC and mechanical systems. The exterior columns, windows, and materials repeat those of the original building, making for a seamless, cohesive look. The new Central Valley Breast Care has a separate lobby but shares back-office staff space with the original building. Inside, warm colors, wood finishes, artwork, and solar tubes that bring in natural light give the space a welcoming, non-institutional feeling.
