Wellness

Wellness

Talking about wellness is fine, but it doesn’t burn many calories. At TETER we walk the walk–literally–when it comes to wellness. We want our employees to experience the highest possible physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Our Wellness Quality Circle (QC) organizes daily walks and weekly activities and works on getting everyone to join in at least once a week. We offer gym memberships and healthy snacks, and most importantly, a support and encouragement system from our friendly QC that gets people up from their desks and into a wellness frame of mind.

Mentoring

Mentoring

We have people willing to share their knowledge and people wanting to learn. The perfect solution? A mentoring program. Our mentors offer their experience in business, project management, leadership, and management, as well as sharing contacts and facilitating learning opportunities for mentees—all with the goal of getting mentees to the next level in their careers.

Our program is formalized, with goal-setting, quarterly workshops, and regular check-ins. Each mentor works with one mentee for a period of twelve months—at which point some mentees might take on the role of mentor for the following year. We’re paying it forward, and everyone benefits.

Licensure

Licensure

Although most people wouldn’t say the licensure process is fun, we have developed an effective (and maybe sometimes fun) program and support system to help our staff prepare for and get their professional licenses. By providing the process, financial and peer support, and reference materials needed to get to and through the exams, we are helping all our interested staff reach that career milestone.

Our licensure support includes

  • Financial help to register for the Architectural Experience Program (AXP)
  • Assignment of a mentor and supervisor for the entire licensure process
  • Milestone tracking
  • Audio tapes, reference materials, mock exams, study materials, and study groups
  • Reimbursement for each exam passed
  • An outline of the Architectural Review Examiners’ testing process for architects
  • Workshops led by our staff MEPS engineers to help with the technical knowledge required

Bottom line: you are not alone. We support studying together and sharing experiences and knowledge, and provide unlimited access to technical and design assistance while preparing for the exam.

TETER U

TETER U

We have some impressive individuals in our firm, and we felt it was time to put them in the spotlight and let everyone (including them) learn in the process. TETER U was founded in 2016 to share knowledge and increase everyone’s expertise.

TETER U has four colleges: Technology, Leadership, Business, and Personal Development. “Students” earn credit for each course taken, with the credits recognized and rewarded on an annual basis. There are no minimum requirements and anyone can take any course that interests them. Reinforcing our attitude that learning is a lifelong endeavor, TETER U is designed to offer a diverse range of courses and opportunities beyond the ones that occur in our everyday work.
